Revised reservation points
The notification prescribes an entirely updated sequence of reservation points from the 1st vacancy to the 100th vacancy, replacing the earlier model roster issued in January 2026.
7% reservation for OBC
Following the notification issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, 7% of vacancies will be reserved for eligible OBC candidates in direct recruitment under the Government of West Bengal and various government-controlled institutions.
PwBD reservation
Four roster points are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). However, these points will remain generic and will not be earmarked disability-wise.
