Who Can Apply?

For Manager (Information Technology), AAI has prescribed a full-time regular bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Electronics Engineering/Technology, or a full-time regular MCA. Relevant experience can include database management, data centre operations and networking, ERP administration, data analytics, software application development or web development and maintenance. Three years of post-qualification experience is required.

Other Manager posts have their own specialised qualification requirements. These include Finance, Architecture, Law, Fire Services, Operations, Commercial, Corporate Planning and Corporate Communications.

For Junior Executive posts, the requirements are different. For instance, Junior Executive (Law) requires a professional degree in Law, while Junior Executive (Operations) requires either a bachelor’s degree in Science with a two-year full-time regular MBA or a full-time regular bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Junior Executive (Survey and Cartography) accepts specified qualifications in Civil Engineering/Technology, Remote Sensing and GIS, Geoinformatics or Geomatics.

AAI Manager and JE Recruitment: Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on September 7, 2026.

  • Manager: Maximum 32 years
  • Junior Executive: Maximum 27 years

Age relaxation is available for eligible reserved categories. SC/ST candidates get up to five years of relaxation, while eligible OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get three years. Certain relaxations are also available for PwBD candidates, ex-servicemen and eligible AAI employees as per the conditions mentioned in the advertisement.

Salary: Up to Rs.21 Lakh Annual CTC

One of the major attractions of this recruitment is the salary package.

The Manager position carries an IDA pay scale of Rs.60,000 to Rs.1,80,000, while the Junior Executive position has a pay scale of Rs.40,000 to Rs.1,40,000.

In addition to basic pay, employees are eligible for allowances and benefits according to AAI rules. The advertisement mentions an estimated annual CTC of approximately Rs.21 lakh for Managers and Rs.14 lakh for Junior Executives.

The selection process will be based primarily on performance in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and, wherever applicable, an interview or other qualifying tests.

AAI has clearly stated that the CBT will be of objective type and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

For posts under codes 1 to 11, an interview is also included in the selection process.

The Manager (Fire Services) post has additional stages. Candidates have to undergo a Physical Measurement Test, Driving Test and Physical Endurance Test after application verification. The physical test includes activities such as running, casualty carrying, pole climbing, rope climbing and climbing up and down a full staircase. Only candidates who qualify these tests will proceed to the interview.

The final provisional selection will be based on the merit list prepared from performance in the CBT and interview, wherever applicable, subject to fulfilling eligibility requirements and clearing the relevant physical, driving or endurance tests.

Driving Licence Requirement for Some Posts

Candidates applying for Manager (Airport Operations) and Junior Executive (Airport Operations) must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle licence. A learner or temporary licence will not be accepted.

For Manager (Fire Services), candidates must produce a valid permanent LMV licence during document verification. The advertisement also states that selected candidates for this post will have to obtain a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence within two years after selection to remain eligible for certain future benefits.

The application fee is Rs.1,000, including GST, and it must be paid online.

However, candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories, women candidates, and AAI apprentices who have successfully completed one year of apprenticeship training are exempted from paying the application fee.
