DBT Link Status Check 2026: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) System used by millions of people across India to receive government benefits directly into their bank accounts. But many beneficiaries still do not know whether their Aadhaar number is properly linked with their bank account for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Currently, the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system is utilized to deliver the benefits of various government schemes directly to the people. If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan, a pension scheme, or any other government initiative, the funds will be deposited directly into the specific bank account that has been enabled for DBT through “Aadhaar Seeding” (linking).

Following the recent political transition in West Bengal—where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumed power from the Trinamool Congress (TMC)—several significant changes have been observed in government schemes. Notably, the state’s popular ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ scheme has now been revamped and renamed the ‘Annapurna Bhandar’ scheme. Consequently, to receive financial assistance under this new scheme, it is now mandatory to have your Aadhaar card linked (or “seeded”) with your bank account.

Use a Search Engine: First, open a web browser on your smartphone or computer and navigate to Google.

Search for NPCI: Go to the search bar and type “NPCI” (National Payments Corporation of India) to initiate a search.

Access the Official Portal: Click on the link that appears at the very top of the search results.

Consumer Tab: Once the main NPCI webpage opens, navigate to the “Consumer” option.

Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE): Next, select the “Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler” option. By simply entering your Aadhaar number on this page, you can easily identify which of your bank accounts is designated to receive funds from government schemes (such as Annapurna Bhandar).

Please remember: to ensure the uninterrupted receipt of benefits from government schemes, it is absolutely essential to keep your Aadhaar linking—and consequently your DBT status—active on your bank account.

Method 1: Check DBT Link Status Online Through UIDAI

One of the easiest ways to check your DBT or NPCI link status is through the official UIDAI website.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website: https://www.uidai.gov.in/en/
  2. Open the “My Aadhaar” section
  3. Click on “Aadhaar Services”
  4. Select “Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status”
  5. Enter your Aadhaar number
  6. Fill in the captcha code
  7. Verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number

After verification, the system will show:

  • Which bank account is linked to Aadhaar
  • Whether NPCI mapping is active
  • DBT link status details

This is considered one of the most reliable ways to verify Aadhaar-bank linking status.

Method 2: Check through Passbook or Mini Statement

In many banks, DBT activation details may also appear in:

  • Passbook entries
  • Mini statement
  • SMS alerts

You may see terms like:

  • DBT
  • NPCI
  • Aadhaar Seeding
  • Aadhaar Mapping

If these details appear, your account may already be linked for DBT services.

Method 3: Visit Your Bank Branch

Visit your bank branch directly and request the staff to check your DBT or NPCI mapping status.

You may need to carry:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Bank Passbook
  • Registered Mobile Number

Ask the bank official to verify whether your account is active for Aadhaar-based DBT payments.

Method 4: Mobile Banking or Net Banking

Some banks also allow users to check DBT status through:

  • Mobile Banking apps
  • Internet Banking portals

Depending on the bank, the status may appear under sections like:

  • Aadhaar Seeding Status
  • NPCI Mapping
  • Subsidy Status

Not all banks provide this feature, but several major banks now support it.

If your Aadhaar is not linked properly with your bank account, you should visit your bank and complete the Aadhaar seeding or NPCI mapping process.

Usually Required Steps

  • Submit an Aadhaar photocopy
  • Fill DBT/NPCI mapping form
  • Update mobile number if required

In many cases, activation is completed within 2 to 7 days.
