WB Fresh 100 Point Roster: Major Highlights of the New Notification

Revised reservation points

The notification prescribes an entirely updated sequence of reservation points from the 1st vacancy to the 100th vacancy, replacing the earlier model roster issued in January 2026.

7% reservation for OBC

Following the notification issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, 7% of vacancies will be reserved for eligible OBC candidates in direct recruitment under the Government of West Bengal and various government-controlled institutions.

PwBD reservation

Four roster points are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). However, these points will remain generic and will not be earmarked disability-wise. The disability category will be decided during recruitment based on actual appointments and the disability register maintained by each department.

Reservation for Ex-Servicemen

Specific roster points have been earmarked for Ex-Servicemen in both Group C and Group D posts, ensuring their continued reservation benefits under the applicable rules.

Meritorious Sportsperson quota

The revised roster also reserves specific vacancies for Meritorious Sportspersons in Group B, C and D posts according to existing state government policies.

  • If suitable Exempted Category candidates are unavailable, recruitment may be made from non-Exempted candidates of the same reserved category.
  • Similar provisions have also been made for EWS vacancies where suitable Ex-Servicemen or Exempted Category candidates are not available.

  • Statutory Bodies
  • Government Companies
  • Local Authorities
  • Universities
  • Government-aided Colleges
  • Government Schools
  • Other State-funded educational institutions

Candidates preparing for upcoming West Bengal government recruitment examinations should understand that vacancy distribution will now follow this revised roster.

This affects:

  • Category-wise vacancy calculation

  • Ex-Servicemen quota
  • PwBD reservation
  • OBC and EWS vacancy allocation

Although eligibility criteria for individual recruitment notifications will remain department-specific, the vacancy allocation process will follow this updated model roster.
