Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
Depending on the post, applicants must have:
- Diploma
- B.E./B.Tech.
- Master’s Degree
- Integrated Master’s Degree
For JRF positions, candidates must also have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or other recognized national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments or institutions. Knowledge of CAD software, fabrication techniques, and agricultural machinery design will be preferred for several positions.
Age Limit
The prescribed upper age limit is:
- Project JRF: 28 years
- Project Associate-I & II: 35 years
- Project Assistant-II: 35 years
Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and women candidates will be provided as per Government of India and CSIR rules.

Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive attractive monthly remuneration based on their qualifications and eligibility.
Monthly Salary
- Project JRF: Rs.37,000 + HRA
- Project Associate-II: Rs.28,000 to Rs.35,000 + HRA
- Project Associate-I: Rs.25,000 to Rs.31,000 + HRA
- Project Assistant-II: Rs.20,000 per month
Candidates who have qualified for NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level examinations will be eligible for the higher salary slabs where applicable.
Selection Process for CSIR-CMERI Recruitment
