WBBSE Document Verification: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has released a notification for the ‘Intimation to the listed candidates as recommended by West Bengal School Service Commission (Teaching XI-XII)for verification of testimonials following vide earlier notification No208/Sec/Appt-Cell/23dated 03-07-2023 of WBBSE.’
WBBSE issued a fresh notification for candidates recommended by the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) for the post of Assistant Teacher (Classes XI-XII). The notification, dated 21 July 2026, announces the schedule for verification of original documents before the appointment process moves forward.
Candidates are requested to bring their original copies of all documents/ testimonials for verification along with one self-attested photocopy of documents for submission on 30-07-2026 and 31-07-2026 at 11:00 a.m. For record at WBBSE, Derozio Bhawan (1st Floor, Meeting Room), DJ-8, Sector -II, Salt Lake, Kol-700091.

WBBSE Documents Required for Verification
Mandatory Documents
- Three hard copies of the Police Verification Report (PVR) duly signed by a Class-I Gazetted Officer.
- Admit Card of the concerned WBSSC Recruitment Examination.
- Recommendation Letter issued by WBSSC.
- One valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, EPIC, PAN Card, Driving Licence or Passport).
- Caste or EWS Certificate (if applicable).
- Disability Certificate (if applicable).
- Two recent coloured passport-size photographs.
- Madhyamik Admit Card or equivalent proof of date of birth.
- Master’s Degree mark sheets and final certificate in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed. mark sheets and final certificate.
- Marriage Certificate or Affidavit (only for married female candidates, if applicable).
- UGC affiliation/equivalence certificate for candidates who obtained degrees from universities outside West Bengal, wherever applicable.
Police Verification Report (PVR) Instructions
The notification places special emphasis on the Police Verification Report.
Candidates must submit:
- Three completed PVR forms.
- Each form should be signed by a Class-I Gazetted Officer.
- Forms must be filled using a blue ink ballpoint pen.
- Candidates residing outside West Bengal should mention their current address within West Bengal in the “Present Address” section of the verification roll.
Self-Attested Photocopies Are Mandatory
Along with the original certificates, candidates must submit one complete set of self-attested photocopies of all required documents during verification. The Board has specifically instructed candidates to sign these photocopies using blue ink.
Important Instructions
- Carry all original documents for verification.
- Ensure that photocopies are properly self-attested.
- Reach the venue on the allotted date and time.
- Incomplete documentation may delay the appointment process.
- Candidates who are unable to attend or fail to produce the required documents may be informed of a subsequent verification schedule, subject to further notification from WBBSE.
This verification process is one of the final stages before the issuance of appointment letters for Assistant Teacher (Post Graduate) posts in West Bengal government and government-aided schools. Candidates are therefore advised to prepare all documents carefully and verify that nothing is missing before appearing at the verification centre.
