Who Can Apply for BEML Apprenticeship?

Candidates must meet the educational and other eligibility conditions specified in the notification.

One important condition is that the candidate must have passed the final examination within three years from the closing date of application. Candidates who are still waiting for their final examination results cannot apply. Candidates must also be at least 17 years old.

The qualification must be obtained through a full-time regular course from a recognised institute or university. Qualifications obtained through part-time, correspondence, distance or online modes are not eligible under the notification.

Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organisation are also not eligible.

Aadhaar, Bank Account and DBT Requirements

Applicants must have an active Aadhaar-seeded bank account that is enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The bank details have to be submitted in the online application.

The notification also specifies that the candidate’s name and date of birth should match across the 10th standard certificate, Aadhaar Card and bank account.

This is an important point for applicants because discrepancies in personal details can create problems during verification.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Documents Required

Candidates should keep the following documents ready before starting the application:

  • NATS/NAPS apprenticeship registration or enrolment number
  • Updated NATS/NAPS profile
  • Educational certificates and mark sheets
  • Matriculation certificate as proof of age
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificate, wherever applicable
  • Cancelled bank cheque or first page of passbook
  • Recent passport-size colour photograph
  • Signature
  • Government-issued identity proof such as Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence or PAN Card

The notification specifically requires the NATS/NAPS profile to be 100% completed/updated.

BEML Engineer Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

There is no written examination and no interview for this apprenticeship recruitment.

BEML will first screen applications based on the prescribed eligibility criteria and qualifications. Shortlisting will be done location-wise and trade-wise.

Candidates will be called for document verification in a ratio of 1:5 against the available training slots. The merit list will then be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final qualifying examination.

Therefore, candidates should not assume that simply submitting an application guarantees selection. Academic marks and successful document verification are important parts of the process.

Apprenticeship Training Duration

The apprenticeship training will continue for one year from the date of joining. The notification states that the training will end after completion of one year and no further extension will be permitted.

Selected apprentices will also be evaluated periodically. They are required to maintain a weekly work diary and submit it to the assigned reporting officer.

It is important to understand that this is an apprenticeship opportunity, not a permanent recruitment to BEML. The notification clearly states that completion of the apprenticeship does not create any claim for employment with BEML.

BEML Engineer Recruitment 2026 Last Date

Candidates should complete the application before 11:00 PM on September 8, 2026. The online registration facility will remain available until that time, according to the notification.

Applicants should avoid waiting until the last day, particularly if they still need to complete NAPS/NATS registration or update their documents.

Important Rules Candidates Should Know

There are several conditions that applicants should check carefully before submitting the form.

A candidate can submit only one application for a particular trade at a particular location. Candidates who submit multiple applications or apply for more than one location/trade may have their applications rejected.

Incomplete applications and applications without the required documents can also be rejected without further intimation.

Selected candidates will have to complete the required apprenticeship contract on the NATS/NAPS portal and submit a medical certificate and police verification certificate before engagement.

BEML Apprentice Recruitment 2026: What Candidates Should Do Now

For eligible engineering graduates, diploma holders, graduates and ITI candidates, this recruitment offers an opportunity to gain practical industry experience in a Government of India enterprise.

However, candidates should first confirm three things: their qualification and passing date, their NATS/NAPS registration status, and the trade/location for which they are applying.

The BEML notification also makes clear that the number of training slots is provisional and may change according to the company’s actual requirement and applicable reservation provisions at the time of engagement.

With the application deadline set for September 8, 2026, eligible candidates should complete the registration and application process well before the closing time.
