Pradhan Mantri Scholarship for Pharmacy (GPAT): Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has released a notification for the ‘Update regarding disbursement of GPAT Scholarship/ Pradhan Mantri Scholarship for Pharmacy Post Graduate Studies (PMSPPS) FOR 2022-23 reg.” Thousands of pharmacy students across India have finally received this GPAT Scholarship 2022-23.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has officially announced that all GPAT-qualified candidates for the academic session 2022-2023 will be considered for scholarship disbursement under the Pradhan Mantri Scholarship for Pharmacy Post Graduate Studies (PMSPPS).

According to the latest notice issued by PCI on May 12, 2026, the scholarship payment process will begin after verification of students’ attendance records from their respective colleges and institutions.

Pradhan Mantri Scholarship for Pharmacy: Official Notification states that –

‘With reference to the subject cited above, I am directed to inform that the Council has decided that the GPAT-qualified students of the academic year 2022–2023 shall be considered for scholarship disbursement. However, the disbursement of the scholarship shall be made only after verification of their attendance records from the respective colleges/institutions.

Further, the Council has received the data of GPAT-qualified students for the academic year 2022–2023 from NTA. However, the mobile numbers and e-mail addresses of the concerned students have not yet been received from NTA.

As soon as the requisite details are received, the Council shall initiate the verification process of the students’ records/attendance from the respective institutions. Thereafter, the disbursement/reimbursement of scholarship amount for the academic year 2022–2023 shall commence accordingly.’

The official notification stated that the council has already received GPAT-qualified student data for the academic year 2022-23 from the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, PCI clarified that mobile numbers and email IDs of many students are still pending from NTA. Because of this, the scholarship disbursement process could not begin earlier.

What PCI Said About GPAT Scholarship 2022-23

According to the official circular:

  • All GPAT-qualified students of 2022-23 will be considered for scholarship disbursement
  • Attendance verification from colleges is mandatory before payment
  • PCI has already received student data from NTA
  • Mobile numbers and email IDs are still awaited from NTA
  • The scholarship payment process will start after verification is complete

Students are now advised to stay in touch with their colleges and regularly check official PCI updates for further announcements regarding scholarship release dates and verification procedures.
