Important Update for Candidates Using Own Scribe Facility

The latest SSC notice contains a particularly important update for candidates who have opted for the Own Scribe facility.

The Commission has stated that candidates using their own scribe may need to complete fresh Scribe registration on the SSC website because registrations of scribes made before 5 November 2025 were disposed of.

This means eligible candidates should carefully check their scribe registration status and complete fresh registration wherever required.

Aadhaar Authentication Made Mandatory for Scribe Registration

SSC has also informed candidates that Scribe registration has now been integrated with Aadhaar Authentication.

Therefore, personnel who are willing to enrol or appear as a scribe must complete their fresh registration on the Commission’s website.

This requirement is particularly important for candidates planning to use the Own Scribe facility in the upcoming Hindi Translator and Stenographer examinations.

Scribe Registration Number Required for Entry Pass

Candidates who intend to use the Own Scribe facility will have to submit the Scribe’s registration number for generation of the Scribe’s Entry Pass.

The Commission has also clarified that the maximum permissible age of a person appearing as an Own Scribe will be governed by the updated policy mentioned in the notice.

Other guidelines relating to the Scribe facility will continue to remain applicable as specified in the respective examination notices.

Last Date for Scribe OTR Mapping

SSC has specified separate deadlines for candidates appearing in the two examinations.

For Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2026
