HAL Barrackpore ITI Recruitment 2026: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has released a notification for the engagement of Trade Apprentices in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Barrackpore, under the Apprentice Act, 1961.
This is one of India’s leading defence and aerospace companies, which has invited applications for Trade Apprentice training at its Barrackpore Division. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed Class 10 (SSC/HSC) from a recognised board.
- Completed full-time ITI under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) in the relevant trade from a recognised institute.
Only candidates who passed their qualifying ITI course in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025 are eligible.
Age Limit
As of 24 July 2026:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 26 years (General category)
Age relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will be provided according to Government of India rules.
Who Cannot Apply?
Candidates will not be eligible if they:
- Have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under NAPS elsewhere.
- Have one year or more of work experience.
- Do not possess the required qualification by 24 July 2026.

Selection Process
HAL has clarified that there will be no written examination or interview.
Selection will be purely merit-based using:
- 70% weightage to Class 10 marks.
- 30% weightage to ITI marks.
The final merit list will be prepared based on this evaluation.
Stipend for HAL Barrackpore ITI Recruitment
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its subsequent amendments. The notification does not specify the exact stipend amount.
