WB New Complaint Portal 2026 with Annapurna Yojana: The West Bengal government is preparing to introduce an online complaint portal for the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, giving beneficiaries a formal way to report irregularities and raise concerns about the selection process.

“A grievance portal will also be launched alongside this. Regarding that portal—if anyone has received benefits in violation of our department’s guidelines, please assist the state government by providing information.

Conversely, if any ‘Didi’ or sister who meets the guidelines has been deprived of benefits, she too should submit an application. This will be an ongoing process.”

The announcement is particularly important for women who believe they are eligible under the scheme but have either been left out of the beneficiary list or have not received the expected benefit.

According to the latest announcement, the complaint system will also allow people to provide information if they find that someone has received the benefit despite not meeting the scheme’s eligibility guidelines.

WB New Annapurna Bhandar Complaint Portal to Address Inclusion and Exclusion Issues

The government has indicated that the proposed complaint portal will serve two purposes.

First, eligible women who have been excluded from the list will be able to submit their complaints and request consideration. Second, people will be able to provide information about beneficiaries who may have received the benefit despite falling outside the prescribed eligibility criteria.

This is intended to make the verification process more transparent and help the government identify cases where benefits may have been wrongly approved.

The government has also stressed that the application and correction process will not be limited to a single deadline. It will continue as an ongoing process, allowing eligible women who are initially left out to apply later.

August Beneficiary List Expected to Draw Attention

The government is also expecting the August beneficiary list to reflect the ongoing verification and scrutiny of applications.

The latest information indicates that a large number of applications have already been submitted under the scheme, while verification is continuing. Around 28 lakh women had already benefited, with further applications undergoing scrutiny.

The government has said that the next list will be prepared after considering the applicable eligibility conditions and verification process.

WB New Annapurna Bhandar Complaint Portal: Who Can Raise a Complaint?

Women who meet the scheme’s eligibility conditions but do not find their names in the beneficiary list can use the complaint mechanism once it becomes operational.

Complaints may also be relevant in cases where:

  • An eligible applicant has been left out of the list.
  • An application has been rejected despite the applicant meeting the conditions.
  • There is an apparent mistake in the beneficiary information.
  • A person appears to have received the benefit despite not meeting the guidelines.
  • There are concerns about incorrect or irregular inclusion in the beneficiary list.

The exact procedure, documents, and portal details are expected to be provided by the government when the online complaint system is formally launched.

Complaint Portal Expected Around August

According to current reports, the online complaint portal is expected to become available around August 21 or 22, 2026. The portal will provide a digital route for beneficiaries and members of the public to submit information related to eligibility and beneficiary selection.

Applicants should avoid relying on unofficial websites or individuals claiming to process complaints on their behalf. The official government portal and instructions should be followed once the system goes live.

Application Process Will Continue

One of the key points in the announcement is that the Annapurna Bhandar application process is being treated as a continuous process.

This means a woman who is eligible under the guidelines but is not included in an earlier list will not necessarily lose the opportunity permanently. She can apply or raise her case through the prescribed process, subject to verification and the applicable rules.

This provision could be particularly important for applicants whose documents or eligibility information require correction or whose applications are still under verification.

What Applicants Should Do Now

Women who believe they are eligible should keep their relevant documents and application information ready. They should also carefully check the beneficiary list when it is published.

If an eligible applicant’s name is missing, the applicant can use the official complaint mechanism after it becomes available.

At the same time, complaints about potentially ineligible beneficiaries should be based on genuine information. False or misleading complaints could create unnecessary complications in the verification process.

Annapurna Bhandar Scheme: What Happens Next?

The immediate focus will be on the publication of the August list and the launch of the complaint portal.

The government has indicated that the new system is intended to give eligible women another opportunity to receive the benefit while also helping identify cases where the scheme’s guidelines may not have been followed.

For beneficiaries, the most important point is that the process is expected to remain open on a continuing basis rather than ending with a single list.

As the complaint portal becomes operational, applicants should check the official government information carefully for the portal address, eligibility rules, required documents and complaint submission procedure.
