Best ForStudents looking for skill-based technical education after Class 10

But today this article is not about Madhyamik results or toppers.

Today, we will talk about the future opportunities for students who have passed Class 10.

After Madhyamik, every student mainly gets two directions for higher education. One is continuing traditional studies in Class 11 with Science, Arts, Commerce, or Vocational streams. The second option is moving toward professional and skill-based education, like ITI, Polytechnic Diploma, Pharmacy, and other technical courses.

For students who want to build a career through technical education and job-oriented skills, a big opportunity has already started in West Bengal.

The Government of West Bengal has opened the new Common Admission Portal for ITI and Polytechnic admissions for the academic session 2026–2027.

The official portal name is:

Common Admission Portal
Registration Open for ITI, Polytechnic & Pharmacy Admissions 2026–2027

The admission process is now completely merit-based. Earlier, students had to appear for entrance examinations like JEXPO for Polytechnic admission. But after COVID, the system gradually changed, and now admission to many ITI and Diploma courses is mainly based on Madhyamik marks and online counselling.
