Delhi Mahila Samriddhi Yojana 2026: Women in Delhi may soon receive a major financial benefit from the Delhi Government. The BJP-led government under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is preparing to launch the much-awaited Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, under which eligible women will get 2500 every month directly into their bank accounts.

According to government sources, the registration portal for the scheme has already been prepared and may become active from the first week of June 2026. This was one of the biggest promises made during the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections, and now the government is moving ahead with full preparation to launch the scheme properly.

Officials have also indicated that the scheme may be introduced under the name Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.

What is Delhi Mahila Samriddhi Yojana 2026?

Delhi Mahila Samriddhi Yojana is a financial assistance scheme launched for poor and economically weaker women living in Delhi. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive:

  • 2500 financial assistance every month
  • Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into bank accounts
  • Support for household expenses, food, education, medicines, and daily needs

The main aim of the scheme is to financially empower women and improve the economic condition of poor families in Delhi.

Big Announcement by CM Rekha Gupta, Government

The Delhi Government has allocated a massive budget of 5100 crore for this scheme in the Financial Year 2026-27 budget.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the government wants to implement the scheme carefully so that only deserving women receive the benefit and no irregularities happen during the process.

Earlier, the scheme was delayed because of a lack of verified beneficiary data and issues related to identifying eligible women. Now, officials say all preparations are almost complete.
