CUET UG 2026 Exam Rescheduled: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification for the rescheduling of Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026. In light of the DoPT O.M. No. F. No. 12/3/2023-JCA dated 22.05.2026 regarding the change in the date of the holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), and in continuation of the Public Notice dated 05 May 2026, it is hereby informed that the CUET (UG) 2026 examinations scheduled to be held on 28.05.2026 in both shifts stand postponed.

Why Has CUET UG 2026 Been Postponed?

According to the NTA public notice on 24 May 2026, the postponement was made after the Government revised the holiday date for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid). The decision was taken in reference to an official memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

As a result, all CUET UG examinations planned for 28 May 2026 in both shifts have been postponed.

CUET UG 2026 Exam Rescheduled: What Candidates Should Know

Those scheduled for the May 28 examination should remember these important points:

  • Do not panic if your examination was scheduled on May 28.
  • Revised dates will be announced separately.
  • Admit cards for new dates may be updated later.
  • Continue preparation instead of waiting for further announcements.
  • Keep checking the official NTA and CUET portals regularly for updates.

A Relief for Some, But Uncertainty for Others

While some students may welcome extra preparation time, others could find the change stressful, especially candidates who have travel arrangements, coaching schedules, or other entrance examinations lined up.

Unexpected schedule changes often create uncertainty, particularly during the competitive admission season. However, education experts suggest using the additional days wisely rather than slowing down preparation.

Students should treat this delay as an opportunity to revise difficult topics, solve mock tests, and improve time management skills.
