BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), A Govt. of India Enterprise, has released a notification for the direct recruitment of Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) in BSNL from the open market. (Notification Year -2026).

BSNL proposes to recruit JUNIOR TELECOM OFFICER (DIRECT RECRUITMENT) in the TELECOM Stream from the open market. All Candidates (Internal & external) fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions & possessing the requisite qualification, as detailed in ANNEXURE-A, are eligible to apply for the above-mentioned post. According to the official recruitment notice, BSNL will recruit 100 candidates for the post of Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) through an online application process followed by a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent from a Central Govt./State Govt. recognized Institution/University in any of the following disciplines:

1. Telecommunications
2. Electronics
3. Radio
4. Computer
5. Electrical
6. Information Technology (IT)
7. Instrumentation

M.Sc. (Electronics) / M.Sc. (Computer Science)

Note 1:-The candidates possessing higher qualifications, viz. M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines as mentioned above shall also be eligible to appear in the Direct Recruitment (DR) examination.

Note 2:-The candidates applying for JTO(T) (DR) should be Indian National and should possess the requisite educational qualification from a recognized University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, and should have completed the course as on the closing date of receipt of application.

Age Limit

As per the notification:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories according to the Government of India rules.

The JUNIOR TELECOM OFFICER (TELECOM) [JTO(T)-DR] shall be recruited in the IDA pay scale [E-1] of Rs. 16400– 40500/- (2nd PRC pay scale w.e.f. 01.01.2007).

BSNL JTO 2026 Selection Process

The recruitment process will be conducted in multiple stages.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Candidates first need to qualify in the online CBT examination.

2. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

3. Medical Examination

Candidates must pass the prescribed medical fitness test before final appointment.

Every stage is mandatory, and candidates need to qualify separately in each phase.
