DSSC Recruitment 2026: DEFENCE SERVICES STAFF COLLEGE WELLINGTON (NILGIRIS) – 643 231, TAMIL NADU, has released a notification for the recruitment of various posts. The Commandant, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the following Group ‘C’ Civilian posts.

Stenographer Grade II 12th pass or equivalent with shorthand skill test of 80 words per minute
Supervisor (Networking) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s Degree in Computer Application, Computer Science, or Information Technology with 2 years of experience
Network Administrator 12th pass with Diploma in Networking or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application, along with CCNA/CCNP certification and 2 years of experience
Hardware Administrator 12th pass with Advance Diploma in Computer Hardware or a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application, along with VLSI certification and 2 years of experience
Lineman 12th pass with Diploma in Optical Fiber Cable Line Management and 2 years of related experience
Boat Builder 12th pass with boat repair experience, apprenticeship certificate, or ex-Navy/Coast Guard experience
Technical Attendant – Printing Machine Operator ITI certificate in Printing Machine Operator or Matriculation with one year of experience as a Printing Machine Operator

Age Limit:

The age criteria differ depending on the position:

  • 18–25 years: MTS and Technical Attendant posts
  • 18–27 years: Most remaining posts

Relaxation in upper age limits will be available for reserved categories according to central government rules. SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and eligible Central Government employees can claim applicable benefits.

Selection Process:

  1. All applications will be scrutinised in terms of age limits, minimum qualifications, documents, and certificates. Thereafter, eligible candidates will be issued call letters for the written test.
  2. The eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written test. The written test will be based on the minimum educational qualification.
  3. The written test consists of (i) General Intelligence and Reasoning, (ii) Numerical Aptitude, (iii) General English, (iv) General Awareness, and (v) Trade Specific.
  4. The question cum answer paper will be in English and Hindi.
  5. The requisite number of candidates will be shortlisted and called for skill/physical test wherever applicable based on merit/category in the written test.
