Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment: INVITES ONLINE APPLICATIONS FROM UNMARRIED INDIAN MALE AND FEMALE CANDIDATES FOR SELECTION TEST FOR AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 02/2027 UNDER AGNIPATH SCHEME

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially announced the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 Recruitment Notification, opening the doors for thousands of young aspirants who dream of serving the nation in uniform. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates can apply online under the Agnipath Scheme from 6 July 2026 to 26 July 2026. The online examination is scheduled for 22-23 September 2026.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment: What is Agniveervayu?

The Agniveervayu scheme allows selected candidates to serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years. During this period, recruits receive military training, operational exposure, skill development, and professional experience. After completion of four years, up to 25% of each batch may be selected for enrolment into the regular Air Force cadre based on performance and organizational requirements.

Pursuant to the New HR methodology for induction of Agniveervayu under ‘Agnipath Scheme’, aimed to provide an opportunity to Nation’s youth to experience military way of life for a period of four years, Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for selection test on 22-23 September 2026 to join the IAF as an AGNIVEERVAYU. The number and employability of female candidates will be decided as per service requirement.

THE SELECTION TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ PILOTS/ NAVIGATORS/ AIRMEN

Age Limit

Candidates must be born between:

01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). The maximum age at the time of enrolment should not exceed 22 years.

Educational Qualification for Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment

Science Stream Candidates

Candidates must have:

• 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Mathematics and English with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English

OR

• Three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with 50% marks

OR

• Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics, and a minimum 50% marks.

Other Than Science Stream

Candidates should have:

• 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English

OR

• Two-year Vocational Course with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.

Agniveervayu Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary package with annual increments.

After completion of four years, Agniveervayus will receive approximately Rs.10.04 lakh as Seva Nidhi Package, excluding interest.

Special relaxations are available for candidates from North-East states, Lakshadweep, and hilly regions of Uttarakhand.

The recruitment process consists of three phases:

Phase I

• Online Examination
• Objective Type Questions
• Negative Marking Applicable

Phase II

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Document Verification
• Adaptability Test-I
• Adaptability Test-II

Phase III

• Detailed Medical Examination by Air Force Medical Team
