ISRO Recruitment 2026: Department of Space, Government of India, INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION [ISRO], ISRO CENTRALISED RECRUITMENT BOARD [ICRB], has released a notification for the RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANTS, JUNIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS, UPPER DIVISION CLERKS AND STENOGRAPHERS.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has opened applications for a fresh round of recruitment under the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB). The notification invites eligible graduates to apply for 244 vacancies across multiple administrative positions, including Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), and Stenographer in ISRO Centres, Department of Space units, and autonomous institutions.

Educational Qualification
Assistant / Upper Division Clerk
Applicants must possess:
- Graduation with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10
- Degree must be completed within the prescribed duration
- Proficiency in computer operations
Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer
Candidates should have:
- Graduation with 60% marks or CGPA 6.32
OR
- Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with 60%
Additionally, applicants need:
- One year of experience as a Steno-Typist/Stenographer (or equivalent qualification as specified)
- English stenography speed of 60 words per minute
- Computer proficiency
The notification also recognises certain apprenticeship certificates as equivalent to one year of experience for eligible diploma holders.
Age Limit
As on 16 August 2026:
- General/EWS: 28 years
- OBC: 31 years
- SC/ST: 33 years
Age relaxation is available for eligible Government employees, Ex-servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, meritorious sportspersons, widows and certain other categories as per Government of India rules.

Application Fee:
There is an Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for all the posts. However, initially all candidates have to uniformly pay Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per application as processing fee.

How to Apply for the ISRO Recruitment -step-by-step process:
Eligible candidates can submit applications only through the online mode.
Candidates may apply for multiple posts, subject to conditions. A candidate may apply for different posts under same/different zones, but cannot apply for the same post in different zones. For Ex: A candidate may apply for Post No.1 (Assistant) in Ahmedabad Zone, Post No 3 (UDC) under Bengaluru Zone/Dept. of Space. However, they cannot apply for Post No. 1 (Assistant) in Ahmedabad Zone and again for Post No. 1 (Assistant) under Bengaluru Zone. However, candidates applying for both the posts should select common (same) written test Centres. Since a common application is considered for all the notified posts, a candidate who applied for multiple posts will be considered only for the notified reservation of the particular post numbers subject to meeting the notified eligibility criteria. The application for online registration will be hosted in the ISRO website between 27-07- 2026 (10.00 AM) and 16-08-2026 (11.55 PM). Applications will be received online only. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
Important instructions include:
- Candidates may apply for multiple posts under specified conditions.
- The same post cannot be applied for in multiple zones.
- Applicants must provide a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Hall tickets and other recruitment updates will be sent through email/SMS only.

Selection Process:
Written test will be conducted at Thirty Eight venues viz., Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh/Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulum, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kavaratti, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Shilong, Tiruchirapalli, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam. However, ICRB reserves the right to cancel/change the written test venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test Centre. The call letters for the written test will be sent only to the registered e-mail ID of candidates.
Post No.1, 3 & 5 –
