NTPC Limited Engineer Recruitment 2026: NTPC Limited (A Govt. of India Enterprise), India’s largest power company, has released a notification for the recruitment of Engineer (Contracts & Materials). This notification, released under Advertisement No. 06/26, offers a strong career opportunity for engineering and management graduates looking to work in one of India’s most respected public sector enterprises.

According to the official notification, NTPC is inviting online applications for the post of Engineer (Contracts & Materials). The company plans to recruit 25 vacancies across different categories.

NTPC Limited Engineer Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

The recruitment is specifically for professionals who have experience in contract management, procurement, materials management, or supply chain operations. The total distribution of vacancies includes:

  • UR: 13 posts
  • EWS: 2 posts
  • OBC: 6 posts
  • SC: 3 posts
  • ST: 1 post

The total number of projected vacancies indicated above may increase/decrease as per organizational requirements at the discretion of NTPC MANAGEMENT.

Educational Qualification for NTPC Limited Engineer Recruitment:

What are the educational qualifications for the recruitment of an Engineer of NTPC Limited –in detail below;

BE/B. Tech Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/ Mechanical/ Production/ Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation/ Civil with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

MBA/PGDBM in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management/ Logistics & Supply Chain Management/ Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirement: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification (BE/B.Tech) executive experience (including training period, if any) in the Power/Oil/Gas/Steel sector, out of which minimum 2 years’ experience should be in Contract/Purchase/Stores/Procurement or a combination thereof.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for applicants is 32 years. However, age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates according to the Government of India rules.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the E2 Grade pay scale. The salary structure ranges from Rs. 50,000 to 1,60,000 per month along with Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA).

  1. Class 10 Passing Certificate/Marksheet
  2. PAN Card and Aadhaar Card for name and date of birth proof
  3. Degree Certificate (Final/Provisional)
  4. Consolidated Marksheet/Transcript of all semesters showing aggregate percentage
  5. Marks Conversion Formula issued by the University/Institute (if CGPA/CPI system is followed)
  6. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS candidates, wherever applicable
  7. OBC-NCL Certificate in Central Government format for FY 2026-27
  8. EWS Income & Asset Certificate valid for FY 2026-27
  9. Disability Certificate issued through the UDID/Swavalamban portal for PwBD candidates
  10. Experience/Service Certificates from all organizations worked in
