Padma Awards 2026 Ceremony-II on June 23: India is gearing up for the second and final phase of the prestigious Padma Awards 2026 as President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is set to confer Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri awards during the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II on June 23, 2026, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Padma Awards 2026: A Total of 131 Honours Approved

The Government of India approved a total of 131 Padma Awards for 2026. These include:

  • 5 Padma Vibhushan Awards
  • 13 Padma Bhushan Awards
  • 113 Padma Shri Awards

The awards recognize distinguished contributions across fields such as Art, Literature, Education, Medicine, Science, Social Work, Public Affairs, Sports, Trade, and Industry.

First Phase Completed on 2026, May 25

The first Civil Investiture Ceremony was held on May 25, 2026, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where President Droupadi Murmu conferred 66 Padma Awards in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The remaining awardees are expected to receive their honours during the June 23 ceremony.
