Why Has DSSSB Reopened the Recruitment?

The recruitment process for DASS Grade II (Post Code 90/09), initiated in 2009, remained unresolved for several years due to legal disputes and administrative delays.

In Ajay Kumar & Others vs DSSSB (W.P. Civil No. 901/2025), the Supreme Court observed that candidates should not suffer because of delays beyond their control. The Court directed DSSSB to provide these applicants an opportunity to participate in the fresh recruitment process with appropriate relaxation where applicable.

Following the judgment, DSSSB issued a public notice on 8 July 2026 inviting eligible 2009 applicants to apply again.
